About Me


As a research psychologist and college professor for many years, I taught a wide variety of courses in psychology including child & lifespan development, mental health and adjustment, women’s studies, relationships, human memory and cognition, research methods and statistics .

I have authored conference presentations, have several peer-reviewed journal articles, offered workshops to the community on successful marriage, child development, and parenting. As a counselor, I specialize in helping couples be successful in their marriages, coaching parents in how to raise happy healthy children, helping individuals and families adjust to death or divorce and helping individuals better manage stress, anxiety and depression. As a practitioner of yoga and meditation for many years I can assist you in developing your own mindfulness, body/mind practice.

Education

I have a master’s degree in child development and PhD in cognitive psychology from the University of New Mexico . I also have a MA in marriage and family counseling from Bethel College and a degree in massage and natural healing from the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics.
